Family members, friends, and former colleagues in government of the late former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III will celebrate his 63rd birth anniversary on Feb. 8 with two Masses.
Members of Aquino’s Cabinet organized the Mass to be held at 10 a.m. at Manila Memorial Park in Sucat, Parañaque City, where his remains are interred along with those of his parents and democracy icons, former Sen. Ninoy Aquino and former President Cory Aquino. It will be the first time after the pandemic that a Mass, to be officiated by Rev. Fr. Tito Caluag, is held at the memorial park after Aquino’s funeral.
Another Mass, to be officiated by Rev. Fr. Jett Villarin, SJ, will be livestreamed on the Facebook page of the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation at 6 p.m.
The public is invited to attend both Masses.
PNoy, as he chose to be called while in office, died on June 24, 2021, leaving behind his four sisters—Ballsy, Pinky, Viel, and Kris—and their families. He served as the Philippines’ 15th president from 2010 to 2016.
