Concert with Hajji & Co., book launch to mark a golden anniversary

Hajji Alejandro, the legendary “kilabot ng kolehiyala” who set many a convent-school girl’s heart a-flutter, topbills the concert “Happy Days are Here Again” on Feb. 2 at the GSIS Theater on JW Diokno Boulevard, Pasay City.

The concert, which also features Miguel Aguila, Laarni Lozada and Gino Padilla, along with the Axis Dancers as well as the ballet dancers of concert director Noemi Silangcruz and overall concert chair Carol Caballero Villar, is sponsored by the College of the Holy Spirit High School Class of 1974 in time for its golden anniversary. 

The award-winning chorale of the School of the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit School, both in Quezon City, will perform surprise numbers.

To make the event extra special, Class ‘74 will launch its book, “50 Golden Years: A Celebration of Life, Friendship and Love,” which “chronicles the becoming of … amazing, empowered women whose friendships remain true and steadfast across time, continents and generations,”

The event starts at 4 p.m. Proceeds will go to the Globe Hapag Movement, which aims to provide meals and livelihood to 100,000 needy families in four years. For tickets, please call 0917-5055955, 0917-1672836, or 0917-5212771.
