City of Dreams Manila’s charitable arm, Melco Resorts (Philippines) Foundation Corp., or MRP Foundation, recently donated security equipment and vehicles worth ₱9.9 million to the Philippine National Police in the National Capital Region (PNP-NCRPO) in a ceremonial turnover.
Undertaken with the support of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor), the donation consists of a Foton Tornado truck with telescopic crane, two Toyota Hiace GL Grandia units, 10 mobile outposts, and two mobile generators with trailer, laptops, and various types of cameras, communications and recording equipment.
The MRP Foundation said the donation is aimed at strengthening law enforcement, public safety, internal security, and special police operations in the areas under the Entertainment City Estate Management Inc. (Ecemi) and all others within the PNP-NCRPO’s jurisdiction.
MRP Foundation chair and president Clarence Chung, vice president Armin Raquel Santos, corporate secretary and treasurer Marissa Academia, and assistant treasurer Riin Meri led the turnover of the donation, which was received by PCol Ireneo Dalogdog, the chief of the PNP-NCRPO Regional Logistics and Research Development Division.

Also in attendance at the turnover held at City of Dreams Manila were Vina Claudette Oca, assistant vice president of Pagcor’s Gaming and Licensing Development Department; Geoff Andres, City of Dreams Manila property president; John Dioquino, Ecemi general manager; the police chiefs of the cities of Pasay and Parañaque; and other PNP-NCRPO officials.
“We are thankful for the opportunity to contribute to PNP-NCRPO’s vital mandate to uphold the safety and security of our community and other areas of their jurisdiction,” Chung said. “We are equally grateful to Pagcor for their utmost support to this endeavor, which, along with other foundation initiatives, affirm our commitment toward nation-building.”
The donation to the PNP-NCRPO is one of MRP Foundation’s various undertakings focused on environment, education, culture, and health programs in conjunction with the mandate of Pagcor. The foundation is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission.—CONTRIBUTED
